I won't be very active for a while because I have injured myself. The sciatic nerve in my left hip, my left shoulder, and my left arm are all out of commission. I will do my best to keep the pages coming, but since I am down to one working hand right now, there may be some delays. My deepest apologies.

Well, I'm feeling better, which is a good thing. I don't know how long it will take me to be back at 100%, but at least I feel that I can type for more than five minutes and with more than one hand. w00t! More about it on the blog.

Dear Sharon,
I have just finished reading up to date in Space and Time! I love the story. I love sci-fi stories where the author has made some effort to dream up alien cultures and physiologies that are truly alien.
The story and pictures have given great descriptions of Yergan appearance and customs, but I'm a little hazy on some of the other aliens.
For example, the Hunsids- Jregli's twin "brothers"- I've got that they have seven fingers and are about four feet tall, and otherwise they seem to be humanoid. At least, there's a picture in the Gallery that shows them as humanoid, but I'm not sure if that's canon.
If they are short, seven fingered humanoids prone to multiple births - what's the story? Were there humanoid ancestors that seeded many worlds, like the Hainish in some of Ursula leGuin's books? Or is it just a case of paralell evolution on another Earth like world? If the latter I would expect some more visible differences. And are any of the other races humanoid?
I wonder if you could create a sidebar with a few notes on each sentient species mentioned in the story, just to help us keep them straight!
Most importantly, thanks so much for writing such an interesting tale.

Thanks, Fiona! I'm glad you're enjoying it; I'm sure having fun writing it!
Good point about the Hunsids and the others; I'll see what I can work up for them. I am rather busy in RL right now, so it won't be soon, sadly. Bills have to be paid, and all that. I did get a work-up of each Race mentioned in S&T finished, so perhaps I'll post that for your consumption in the meantime.
I also got your donation, so the next page of Descendants of Ancients will be going up shortly! Thanks so much for supporting LFE; I really appreciate your generosity.
