VCon update!

Alrighty; I'm halfway thorough VCon, so here's the status report.
First, April and I are having a blast. She's kindly given me an air mattress to crash on, and I have crashed hard on it. By the time I got to sleep on Thursday after traveling, participating in #dnchat, and getting the flyers ready to print, I'd been up for 25 hours straight. As Jregli would say, o_o_O. Out like a light. But I slept quite well, and we were up and off to meet out fellow conartist, Beth @moongate. We stopped for lunch, which took forEVER, and then to the con.
We found the hotel without any trouble (PTL) and trundled up to the rooms. Lot of helpful people in Vancouver, btw. We found that our table had been given over to random flyers and that it was in a tight hallway rather than in the actual Artist's Gallery. What the heck!! We got the flyers cleared off and dubbed the hallway "Mos Eisley Alley," since we're apparently not good enough to be in the real Artist's Alley.
It turned out to be a really good location, though; it's on the only route to the Dealer's room, so everyone has to pass us to get there. Sweet! THe first day was pretty tame, without a huge crowd, but I did get to be traumatized by one fellow who would make an excellent Sailor Bubba, if ever he were so inclined. Brrr.
Lots to do today, so I'm off to get ready. More from me laters!
Dream the impossible. Happen to life.
